The official opening of Surf & Snack @ Shaw's took place on 13th July 2009 with The Right Hon.Michael Howard QC,MP in attendance together with Sue Huzzey (LSC), Beryl Crocker (Chairman RR2K), Ann Shaw (wife of John Shaw, former Chairman RR2K) and Edna Delaney (Managing Director RR2K).

Myguide (UK Online Funding)

The centre has been awarded funding to deliver Myguide tasters until April 2011.

Free Myguide tasters on How to Internet & Email, Basic Computers for Beginners, Jobsearch, Family Tree, Digital Imaging and more, contact the centre on 01797 367455 to book your free place.

Funding News

Springboard to Skills Project, supported by Sussex & Kent Rural Community Council, enabling 15 learners with learning difficulties and disabilities to progress forward and achieve a qualification under the National Skills Profile.

The Aspire Programme, supported by the Learning Skills Council, for those aged 16-18 (Including Year 11 students) providing ten hour tasters and support in order to aid transition onto further education or into employment, by way of vocational experience in a range of sectors including; Motorbike Mechanics, Hair & Beauty, Freshwater Fishing, Food Safety in Catering, Techniques of DJing and many more.
