About You
Are you between 16 and 18 years old (or 19 to 25 with an EHCP)?
We understand that mainstream schooling doesn't always cut it, so we've worked with the Department for Education and Kent County Council and the support of other local funders to create an independent college that offers employability-focussed Study Programmes that have you in mind. It’s all about you!

Prepare for Life beyond Education
At Lighthouse on The Marsh, we believe that education should prepare you for the real world. We help you develop education, work and life skills. You'll have the chance to improve or gain GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English. But, more than that, we'll broaden your horizons through classes, workshops, outings, volunteering, and other activities. We’ve also got clubs like gardening, art, cooking, and fitness for you to explore and develop therapeutic skills. We'll even create new clubs to suit your interests that help boost your independence and self-esteem.
Build Confidence and Ambition
Confidence and ambition go hand-in-hand, and we're here to support you every step of the way. We'll help you identify your goals and work towards them. Get ready to meet employers, attend taster sessions, and even experience work placements. We'll also teach you essential skills like interview techniques, CV creation, and how to apply for a job. We're all about empowering you to succeed, whether you're looking to gain more qualifications, get an apprenticeship, or get a job!

We accept applications and referrals throughout the academic year and maintain a waiting list for full classes.
